History

Sainte-Marie Mère de Dieu School came into existence in July 2022 as a result of the joint efforts of Mr. Ubertelli, a group of teachers, parents, and benefactors. Its purpose is to advance Catholic education with a traditional mindset in a rigorous, welcoming, and respectful environment, and to meet the needs of families seeking to educate their children through a thoughtful and conscientious approach. The school has assembled qualified and dedicated teachers who are recognized and experienced, each specialized in their respective fields of expertise. These teachers provide a classical and faithful education. The school has extensive premises in the Saint-François d'Assise church in the Hintonburg area of Ottawa.

Liturgical Calendar

Friday, April 10 - Easter Friday

Epistle

First Epistle of Saint Peter 3,18-22.
3,18Because Christ also died once for our sins, the just for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in the spirit,
3,19In which also coming he preached to those spirits that were in prison:
3,20Which had been some time incredulous, when they waited for the patience of God in the days of Noe, when the ark was a building: wherein a few, that is, eight souls, were saved by water.
3,21Whereunto baptism, being of the like form, now saveth you also: not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but, the examination of a good conscience towards God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
3,22Who is on the right hand of God, swallowing down death that we might be made heirs of life everlasting: being gone into heaven, the angels and powers and virtues being made subject to him.

Gospel

Holy Gospel according to Saint Matthew 28,16-20.
28,16And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
28,17And seeing him they adored: but some doubted.
28,18And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
28,19Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
28,20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.
